About Citrus & Co.

Citrus & Co. is a Twin Cities gathering company for women. Founded by Mikosa Taylor, it builds rooms where women walk in alone and leave with people: plant nights, indie bookstore bus tours, private events, and seasonal experiences.

The activity is never the point. The plants, the books, the buses..... those are just the invitation. Belonging is the product. Citrus & Co. designs the room where connection actually happens, then gets out of the way.

Meet the founder

Hi. I'm Mikosa, founder of Citrus & Co.

My first real job out of college, I was good at one thing above everything else, reading people. What they wanted, what they could carry, how to move them toward yes without ever making them feel pushed. Then I got fired over a little St. Patrick's Day pin I had on as I walked out the door. The next place promoted me three times in almost no time, so I knew the problem was never me. But I had learned the lesson anyway. You can be the best person in the room at seeing people, and a room will still decide you do not matter.

Years later my whole life came down to the studs, and I rebuilt it from nothing, one friend's spare room to the next, until I had a home of my own on Lexington, in my own name. I had spent my entire life reading rooms for everyone else and had never once had a room of my own.

So I started building them.

That is Citrus & Co. I read the edges of a room, the woman halfway to the door, the one on her phone, the one nobody thought to introduce, and I get to her before she leaves. I meet the need before the hand comes out. I am a multiplier. I build the room I never had.
